The Good Life - "Help Wanted Nights"

"Help Wanted Nights" is the new album from Omaha, NE band The Good Life. Lead singer Tim Kasher started the band in 2000 as a side project to Cursive, whose 2006 album "Happy Hollow" focused on the darker side of middle America. The songs on that record were sung from the intersecting perspectives of a variety of townsfolk, and Kasher takes a similar approach on "Help Wanted Nights". Here, the characters are regulars at the fictitious Sundowner Bar, a place the romantically frustrated go to drown their sorrows. The songs are the poppiest Kasher has done yet. "Keely Aimee" is a standout.

Welcome To The Blog

Hello there. As you may have guessed, this is a new blog that I've created in order to express my opinions on music, movies, and television. I am currently a freshman at Emerson College in the wonderful city of Boston. I will update this blog when I decide that something I've listened to or watched was either good or awful enough to warrant being written about. I'll be covering both films currently in theaters, as well as looking back at others. Hope you enjoy the site, and feel free to leave constructive criticism.
